ISO 14443 Mifare swallow reader
ISO 14443 Mifare® cards are justifiably called ‘smart cards’. And it is also not surprising that customers want to be careful with the cards they issue. With the ISO 14443 Mifare® swallow reader, Integrated Engineering provides a product that meets this demand.
Ideal for temporary employees
Most systems enable you to determine the period of validity of the cards that have been issued. This
is customary with temporary employees or contractors. It at least prevents access being given when the contract has ended. The ISO 14443 Mifare® swallow reader goes one step further; it prevents temporary employees from keeping their ISO 14443 Mifare® card as a souvenir or simply throwing it away. Once the period of validity has expired the card is not returned after being read, but is swallowed.
Visitor cards
The swallow reader is also used for the automatic retention of visitor cards. When the reader is placed at the exit, visitors are forced to use their pass to leave the building. Whether or not the visitor returns the card then no longer depends on the vigilance of the visitor or the receptionist.
