SmartLOGON

PC security with Mifare®

SmartLOGON is an ISO 14443 Mifare® classic reader with an USB 1.1 interface. For communication with a host system the reader makes use of the 3964 protocol. For your convenience there is a Software Development Kit (SDK) available for the Microsoft Windows Platform. The SmartLOGON can be used as enrollment station or PC security.

Smart cards

Contact less smart cards that can be used for this type of application are the ProX, SmartMX and all other ISO14443-4A/B cards.
 

PCSC

PCSC is standard functionality of Microsoft Windows for working with Smart Cards. CCID is a part within PCSC for USB Chip/Smart Card Interface Devices (CCID). The PCSC specifications are based on the 7816 contact smart card standards and designed to be compatible

with the EMV and GSM standards.

 

CCID is intended to use one Generic device driver for different types of Smart Card readers without the need of each vendor having to supply its own driver.
